The craft brew scene is spilling over more than the head of a badly poured pint (don’t worry, that won’t happen at any of these places).

Locally brewed beer is as hot as a Miami summer. And as we approach all the Oktoberfest celebrations, you’re going to want to know where to enjoy them.

So here’s your ultimate guide, from the brewmasters and bartenders themselves, on their “Most Miami” brews — and where to find them.

Coming up on their one-year anniversary this month, Biscayne Bay Brewing in Doral keeps expanding its beer selection. If you had to choose one to represent the 305 it would be the Miami Pale Ale. The 5.5 percent American Pale Ale is described as a “moderate, refreshing ale with noticeable hop aroma balanced by supporting malt flavors.” It’s the perfect description for the way they like to brew beer, says Co-founder and President Jose Mallea. Miami Pale Ale is available at select Total Wine Stores and Whole Foods Markets.

Brunch is the best part of the weekend, right? With a slew of offerings available around town, its hard to keep them all straight. So to cut through the clutter Eater Miami has rounded up the best new brunch offerings around town — that have been offered less then a year — to check out on your next weekend excursion.

Biscayne Bay Brewing Company is launching a Yacht Rock Sunday Brunch, with favorites like avocado toast on sour dough, build-your-own breakfast burritos, and bottomless mimosas. Also notable: $1 Kapitan’s Kolsch and Rosé.

Biscayne Bay Brewing in Doral recently launched Yacht Rock’s Sunday Brunch, a weekly party offering build-your-own breakfast burritos, bottomless guava mimosas, a live DJ, and $1 pours of Kapitan’s Kolsch or rosé.

Sundays, the brewery swaps its regular small-bites menu for a selection of breakfast items under $10.

Highlights include banana-pecan bread topped with bacon and whipped butter; avocado toast on sourdough; buttermilk pancakes garnished with peanut butter cereal, banana, and Nutella syrup; and a cheese, egg, and ham croquette breakfast sandwich.

Customers can also build their own breakfast burritos, served with home fries and fruit. Available ingredients include chorizo, roasted red peppers, and smoked Gouda.

Bottomless guava or orange mimosas cost $10. Also available are nonalcoholic beverages such as apple, orange, and tomato juices and Biscayne Bay’s brews on tap.

The event, which runs from noon to 6 p.m., also includes live music with DJ Garcia, who spins ’70s and ’80s hits, along with board games, dominoes, and other diversions.

Otherwise, the 3,400-square-foot taproom, complete with a 60-foot linear wooden bar, is open daily to serve pale ales, Scotch ales, and IPAs paired with spicy tuna poke bowls, guacamole topped with cotija cheese, and sea-salt or cinnamon-sugar pretzels.

Also, as of mid-September, the brewery bottles three of its signature beers: Kapitan’s Kolsch, Siren’s Saison, and Miami Pale Ale. The new six-packs are available for purchase at the brewery in Doral as well as select Total Wine & More and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits locations. In the near future, the brewery plans to bottle some of its large-format, limited-release beers too.

Local Brewmasters Harness the Benefits of Barrels for A Slew of New Brews

Biscayne Bay Brewing is proud to announce four seasonal, limited releases for the month of November using a variety of barrel-aging techniques including Rum, Bourbon, and Whiskey barrels. The following craft beers will be available throughout the month of November at Biscayne Bay Brewing’s Tap Room located at 8000 NW 25th Street Miami, FL.

LA SALIDA: Bourbon Barrel Aged IPA

La Salida, being the first move in a domino game, is their first barrel release. It is a blend of the Miami Pale Ale and Double Nine Double IPA aged in Breckenridge Bourbon barrels for six (6) months. With immediate notes of Bourbon, La Salida is a great choice for the beer connoisseur and whiskey lover alike.

EL CARIBE: English Porter Aged in Caribbean Rum Barrel

El Caribe reflects the vast flavors of the tropical sea adjacent to Biscayne Bay. The brewers start with our “La Colada” English Style Porter with notes of Cuban coffee, and age it in Cruzan Rum Barrels from the Island of Curacao. The tradition of infusing the flavor of these spirits into beer dates back centuries. The result is a delicious aged porter that is rich in flavor and depth.

EL ROBLE: American Whiskey Aged Scotch Ale

El Roble, meaning “The Oak,” is a single malt, single hop Scotch Ale. The beer is aged in one time use Stranahan Whiskey Barrels from Colorado for a period of four (4) months. The barrel aging conveys a very familiar whiskey aroma and toffee sweetness into the ale.

BUENAS NOCHES: American Whiskey Aged Imperial Stout

Buenas Noches, or “Good Night,” is a phrase used when ending your evening. This beer is the perfect night cap with its robust flavor profile coming from chocolate and roasted malts. A three (3) month aging in Stranahan Whiskey barrels lends subtle notes of vanilla and oak that are balanced with hoppy bitterness, resulting in a balanced, full- bodied Imperial Stout.
